A refresher by mark. Alternative to a toner. |
A toner is a product that refreshes, tones, moisturizes, and minimizes redness and the appearance of pores. I use a generic toner, in addition to my Avon facial cleanser, on days when my skin gets oily. On these oily skin days, I also skip on my makeup routine, and apply just a mascara and lip gloss/lib balm.
Avon does not make toners, because their facial cleansers, such as Avon Solutions Total Radiance Day and Night Cleanser (my favorite) have a toner mixed in with the cleanser. It's a 2-in-1, for young men and women on-the-go.

Avon Solutions Cleanser |
If you have dry or oily skin (aka "temperamental" skin), consider purchasing an Avon cleanser--like Solutions for young skin, or the Solutions for aging skin--and use a generic toner (CVS, Walgreens, etc.) to refresh your skin throughout the day.
Prefer a more "earthy" refreshing feeling? Try mark's Mist Opportunity Multi-tasking Refresher. It's not a toner, but it contains antioxidants which are excellent for the skin. Remember that your skin is the largest body organ you have; your skin will absorb anything you give it, so treat it to something good.
My favorite part about a toner, is that it's liquid like nail polish remover, and so I can apply it with a cotton ball. Toner feels fresh, and removes dead skin cells and dirt--you can see the all the crud you've swabbed off your face, just by looking at the cotton ball.
Toner is excellent for cleaning those rings around the neck that you often see in children, the hard working, and sometimes in teenagers who just forget to scrub, and is safe for use on sensitive skin.
